NextSingerUp Privacy Policy

NextSingerUp helps karaoke hosts manage shows, singer lineups, subscriptions, and optional text notifications. This policy describes the information processed by this installation of NextSingerUp.
Information collected
- KJ account details, including name, email, password hash, setup choices, and billing identifiers.
- Singer entries, including singer or group name, song, artist, lineup history, and optional mobile number.
- SMS consent records, commands, delivery events, timestamps, and limited request information used for fraud prevention and compliance.
- Operational logs, database-repair records, and administrator audit events.
How information is used
Information is used to run karaoke queues, calculate estimated waits, manage accounts and billing, send consented queue messages, prevent duplicate or conflicting signups, secure the service, and diagnose problems.
Service providers
The service administrator may email DJ accounts about NextSingerUp promotions. The configured outgoing email provider processes the recipient email address and message. Promotional messages include an unsubscribe link; opting out stops future promotional emails to that address without changing password-reset emails or singer SMS preferences. Campaign recipient lists, send results, and unsubscribe records are stored to manage these messages and honor opt-outs.
Telnyx processes mobile numbers, message content, and delivery events when SMS is enabled. Stripe processes billing and payment information; NextSingerUp stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, not full card numbers. Song title and artist searches may be sent to the MusicBrainz public API to retrieve recording duration metadata; singer names and phone numbers are not included in those searches.
Queue ownership and retention
An active phone-backed queue session expires after six hours. Signing up with another KJ ends the earlier active session and removes its pending queue entries. Completed performance history is retained for host reporting. STOP records are retained so the service can honor messaging opt-outs. KJs and the service operator determine appropriate retention periods for account and show history.
Choices and requests
SMS consent is separate from purchase. Reply STOP to opt out and leave the current queue. GOHOME leaves the queue without creating a carrier opt-out. Some information may be retained where needed for security, billing, legal obligations, or opt-out compliance.
Security
NextSingerUp uses password hashing, encrypted provider credentials, signed webhooks, tenant isolation, request forgery protection, and database audit records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the service changes. A revised effective date will be posted here.
